"COMME des GARÇONS" has shocked the world with experimental works that change the concept of clothes completely. The designer presiding over this brand has refused to be labeled as anything. Even if a style is successful, she doesn't mimic it and she doesn't cling to a specific style. There cannot be compromise or a sense of accomplishment in such work of expression. That may be why she told an interview from the Guardian (UK) electronic version (delivered September 15) that "there is no pleasure in the work."
