" I wonder if a good thing always comes along with a strange bonus."

Hiromi Kawakami

The husband is strangely light. He has no strange pride characteristic of a man, enjoys adversity too, and has a sense of humor. His  wife, who realized that these beauty points come from his bitter "training" of  being at the mercy of the discord between his parents and clearing up his mother's reckless spending, murmured comparing his mother as "a bonus". Not knowing such thoughts of his wife, he replies, "A bonus is apt to have more presence." From a novel, "Let's Go To The Forest."
