Sometimes there is a magic moment in children's room.

Margery W. Bianco

At Christmas, a boy jumps to a present, velveteen rabbit, but when he gets a new one, he gets crazy about it soon. When the rabbit is depressed, the boy 's favorite dog toy is gone somewhere, and this time the rabbit becomes a substitute for the dog toy. And,  as the rabbit shares joy and sorrow with the boy, the substitute is becoming irreplaceable. It is no longer magic. From a picture book, "The Velveteen Rabbit" (illustrated and made an abridged translation by Komako Sakai).
