Are you going to be the first to say that you give up on someone or something, or hoping to do it at least or hoping to do it only now since you should die, be ruined, fall someday anyway? Would you like to tell yourself or rely on something? The historian of Japanese thoughts says that while saying "would rather do it", on the other hand, hoping to do it "at least", wavering between those feelings is human nature.
