Ryotaro Sugi
Starting with a prison visit at the age of 15, he has been engaged in welfare activities at home and abroad for 60 years. Before becoming a singer, he worked unpaid at his acquaintance's curry shop in order to decide to lead a life in which he would not seek "reward." When mixing soup-run curry in a disaster-stricken area in Tohoku, a reporter asked him, "Are you seeking publicity?" Left in the cold, people were waiting in line. He saved even the time to counter.
