Anezaki, "the Last Hunter of the Ainu,” shot a bear he ran into in a mountain by the skin of his teeth when he was young. When he approached the bear trying to put an end to its life late in the evening, finding that the bear could seen even in the dark but he couldn't, he turned pale.
