Shoichiro Sakurai

It seems that Kyoto University has a tradition of not holding a publication party. An associate professor who was also a famous writer held a publication party, and ethnologist Tadao Umesawa told him not to hold a party like this any more. Sakurai wrote that you cannot devote yourself to scholarship in the cozy climate. From "Kyoto School: Drunken Scholars."
