The writer wrote a lot of bad things about her mother-in-law to her parents. Her father, contrary to expectations, was pleased with this and laughed, saying, "We often have such a grandmother." With such a family-style, even if someone talked her down, instead of complaining, she came to be able to observe the person's subtlety, thinking what kind of a person this man is, and to write vividly about him.
