an elementary scholl pupil in Kyoto

On the train, a younger sister and brother are babbling away about anything. The younger brother seems to be complaining about collisions with classmates to his elder sister of almost the same age. The elder sister who silently listened to his brother admonished him saying so at the end, which dumfounded a once popular professor of mathematics of Kyoto University, Tsuyoshi Mori. He said about this story in a meeting. In a town where people lived jostling each other, children are forced to mature as soon as possible? I feel as if I looked into an abyss.
