Bachi atarahen-e. (You wouldn't be punished.)

a way of saying in Kansai

This word is said to people who do not care or men who are slow to catch on, for example, a wife who cannot bear any more says to her husband who do not put away the glass he used,  "If you put it away, you wouldn't be punished." It seems to be an expression that is unlikely to cause a hard feeling, but it is far more a harsh word than "Do it." and is used to give up on the person. When it is said in a low voice, most men are horrified. Depending on the area, the end may be "de" or "teya."
